The Human Covenant: The Author and Creator, Shawn Potter

After a 30-year military career, from combat in Desert Storm to crisis negotiation, Shawn Potter spent a lifetime often working in high-stakes environments, always feeling like he was navigating a world not quite built for him. He was the “Go-To guy,” the one who could solve the impossible problem, but he always felt there was a piece of his own puzzle missing.

At the age of 53, a late-in-life diagnosis of Autism and ADHD (AuDHD) provided the final, critical piece of intelligence. It was the key that unlocked a lifetime of misunderstanding, reframing what he thought were personal failings into the unique strengths of a different kind of operating system.

The Human Covenant is the result of that discovery. It is the work of a man who has taken his experience as a crisis solver, his integrity as a veteran, and his unique, pattern-seeing mind, and forged them into a practical, compassionate “field manual” for a chaotic world. It is not a story of a man who has all the answers, but of a man who has finally learned how to ask the right questions.

To translate the rapid, non-linear insights of his AuDHD brain into the structured format of these lessons, Shawn utilizes AI as a collaborative partner—a “concierge” to help synthesize and articulate his ideas. This is an act of integrity, ensuring that his unique perspective is delivered with the clarity and precision it deserves, leaving no holes for those who would seek to undermine the message. The core concepts, the voice, and the final work are entirely his own.

His ultimate intent is to leave a legacy. A legacy for his children, so they inherit a better, more compassionate world. And a legacy for himself. It is his way of living forever—to be remembered not just for who he is now, but for who he was, and for the work he did to bridge the two.

This work is a mission of service, self-funded by Shawn. He is not interested in sponsorship, fame, or financial gain. To maintain the integrity of this project, The Human Covenant is structured so that it cannot accept donations. The greatest support you can offer is to engage with these ideas and share them with those who need to hear them.
